I have joined the masses . . .

Well, I didn't think I would do it. But I did. I started a blog. I have enjoyed reading other people's stories and seeing what they have been up to, so I figured people would want to know what is going on in my life. Well, probably not . . . but at least I would have a written account of what I actually do with my time. Besides playing video games and watching TV. Before I actually begin, I will apologize in advance for my horrible grammar. I am not an English major, I am an Occupational Therapist and I tend to overuse the comma so don't be surprised if every other word has a comma smashed in the middle of them. So here goes . . .

I had a birthday just a few days ago. Wow. I am 28. I don't really feel like I am 28 and I am pretty sure when I was younger, 28 seemed so old. But I am here, but yet I still feel like I am 19 or so. There are still so many things that I want to do and hopefully I will get to accomplish them before I feel too old or embarrassed to do them. But, I do feel good in that I am 28 and . . .

* I have a place to call my own. It's mine. I hate the mortgage, but I like that I am in the process of owning it and not just throwing money to rent. It's taking me a little while to decorate it, but it will eventually happen.

* I have a good job that will allow me to grow as a clinician and I will be able to learn from my peers. I love the patients that I work with (well for the most part) and I love to help them return to their job of living. Also my co workers are so much fun. And the pay doesn't hurt either. :0)

* I have a great group of friends. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a social butterfly. I love being around people. My "family" is a big part of my life. They give me the support I need and keep me in check. We all get along so well and love to laugh.

* I have the gospel in my life. I wouldn't say I am a great Mormon, but it gives me the direction and strength I need when life gets too difficult.

* And I have a WONDERFUL family. I am so blessed to have such a great family that supports me in all that I do and loves me unconditionally. I know I haven't been the easiest person to deal with, but they stick with me and continue to help me when I need it. My aunts, uncles & cousins are the best. They are so much fun to be around and I love spending time with them. My mom & dad are the AMAZING. I am so spoiled. There are times when they forget that I am older, but their nagging voices of concern just tell me how much they care. My siblings rock. We have so much fun together and now that we are older, we get along so much better too. :0)

Who knows what is in store for me this year. But I am totally looking forward to it.
